MAGIERSKI, Anne Tyler Pierce (Flacco), age 98, died February 3, 2023 at Samaritan Hospice, Mount Holly, NJ. She was born July 16, 1924 in Friendship Heights, MD at the home of her maternal grandfather, William Tyler Page, author of The American's Creed. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry (Hank) Magierski, her parents, Harry W. and Nan T. Pierce and sister, Patricia N. Stone. Anne was a 1946 graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She became a Registered Medical Technologist specializing in Microbiology and was active in the medical field most of her life. She worked from 1968 -1976 in breast cancer research at the Coriell Institute for Medical Research in Camden, NJ. After moving to Woodstown, NJ, she worked as microbiologist at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County, retiring in 1989 as Microbiology Supervisor. Following retirement, she married Henry (Hank) Magierski in 1991 and moved to Mystic Island, Little Egg Harbor, Ocean County, NJ, where she was an active member of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Tuckerton, and president and webmaster of the Genealogy Club of Little Egg Harbor.
In 1992, Anne partnered with Hank in designing, building and installing nautical theme stained glass windows under the name "Artistry in Glass". They participated in craft shows along the East Coast from Upper New York State to Chincoteague, VA for many years until Hank was forced to retire once again due to the effects of chronic Lyme disease.
She is survived by her daughter Janet Rossini and son-in-law Louis Rossini of Riverton, NJ, and son Roy Flacco and daughter-in-law Susan Flacco of Ithaca, NY; three granddaughters, Suzanne Rossini of Riverton, NJ, Nora Rossini of Riverton, NJ and Lex Mink-Flacco of Albuquerque, NM; three stepsons John Magierski of Toms River, NJ, Thomas Magierski and his wife, Carol of Winter Park, FL and James Magierski and his wife, Emma of Island Park, NJ, four step-grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Maggie and Ashley Miller and great-grandson Miles.
A memorial service at Christ Church - Episcopal in Riverton, NJ will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00 am. The service will be live streamed at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83850622544 . At a later date to be determined, interment at Brig. Gen Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ. Arrangements were made by Weber Funeral Home, Riverton, NJ
