Barbara A. Barker (nee' Donegan), age 85, of Mt. Laurel, NJ, formerly of Delran, NJ, passed suddenly on December 25, 2023.
Barbara was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Anna and Francis Donegan, growing up in the Mayfair section of the city, graduating from St. Hubert's High School. Barbara was a longtime resident of Delran, NJ where she and her husband, Vincent Barker, raised their family. She worked for twenty years as a Paraprofessional for Moorestown Schools and served as a School Crossing Guard in Delran Township for many years. Barbara was also a longtime member of St. Casimir's Church, Riverside, and more recently of St. Isaac Jogues Church, Marlton.
She remained close with her high school friend, the "sorority girls" from St. Huberts, and enjoyed getting together with them all regularly. Barbara loved to travel, especially on cruises, and enjoyed trips to Europe. Most of all, she loved being close with her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by; her husband, Vincent J. Barker; her children, Denise Farrell and her husband Paul, and Dr. Vincent B. Barker and his wife Colette; her grandchildren, Sean Farrell and his wife Sara, Ryan Farrell and his wife Liana, Conor Farrell and his wife Lauren, Sorcha Barker and Keela Barker. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Jameson, Macklin and Ciera Farrell, as well as by her best friend, Rosemarie Madden, who was like a sister to her.
Family and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Resurrection Parish, St. Casimir Church site, 502 New Jersey Avenue, Riverside, NJ 08075, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM before Mass.
