When Beverly was a young child her family moved to Tacoma, WA. Many summers she would travel back to Minnesota by train and stayed at her Uncle Rollo's and Aunt Ida's Kabekona Bay resort. She carried on this tradition with her own children during the 1960's and 1970's. Beverly graduated from the University of Washington and had her first child in 1951 in Vancouver, WA. She moved to Walnut Creek. CA soon after. In 1965 she moved to New Jersey where she gave birth to her sixth child. Paula. Her son Andrew and her future son-in-law Robert received degrees from Drexel at the same ceremony!
Beverly became a Registered Dietician for the State of New Jersey inspecting nursing homes and hospitals. She retired at the age of 71 and then babysat her three youngest grandchildren for almost ten years. Beverly's wish was to always remain home as long as she was able to. Her grandson Daniel lived with her for the last ten years until her death and with the assistance of Patricia and her siblings were able to fulfill her wishes.
