Carol Ann Fiorentino of Palmyra went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2022, she was 76.

Carol was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late, Vincent and Concetta Fiorentino.  She graduated from St. Hubert Catholic High School in Philadelphia and held her master's degree in Science from Chestnut Hill College, as well as a degree in Theology.  She was a nun, a dog lover and rescuer, a Catholic school teacher of 46 years, a traveler, a weaver, a craftswoman, a faithful friend, an active contributor to the community and so much more. She spent the last 35 years living in Palmyra Harbour. Carol was known for always keeping the water bowl full for neighborhood pups and treats in her pockets.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew Anthony Hueber.  She is survived by her siblings, Rosemarie Hueber, Vincent James Fiorentino, nieces/nephews, Constance Cintron, Sean Hueber, Eugene Hueber, Jr., Nitya Fiorentino, Mayapur Fiorentino, Atma Diaz, several aunts & uncles and many great nieces & nephews, as well as a great great niece.

Carol began her battle with Cancer over a decade ago. She was a nun most of her life, so while never having married, dated, or having children of her own, she was no stranger to family life. Carol played an integral role in raising her 7 nieces and nephews, as well as cared for her mother, Concetta, in her sunset years. Her final diagnosis of metastatic brain cancer was June of 2021 and she fought to maintain her independence this past year. She was loved and respected by colleagues, parents and students alike in her school community and her family has been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love since her passing. While she had no kids of her own, we were all her children.

A visitation for Carol will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11 ^th from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, all at Sacred Heart Church, 4 ^th & Linden Ave., Riverton, NJ 08077. Interment will be held privately.
