Obituary

Carol Lynn Graf (nee' Coles), age 79, of Beverly, NJ passed suddenly with her husband by her side on December 31, 2023.

Carol was born in Woodbury, NJ to the late Maude and Leon Coles and grew up in the Riverton, Lenola and Columbus, NJ areas, with Beverly, NJ being her home for the past 53 years. Carol was a graduate of Rancocas Valley Regional High School, class of 1962, and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA, class of 1966.

Carol then went on to teach English at Rancocas Valley Regional High School for 35 years until her retirement. She was very involved with her students, serving as Class Advisor for many 4-year terms, Senior Trip Coordinator for more than 10-years, was the school's Yearbook Advisor for her entire 35 years career, was a former Co-Chair of the RVRHS Athletic Hall of Fame and also an inductee for her athletic accomplishments when she was a student.

Carol was an active and involved member of the Palmyra Moravian Church for many years where she dedicated much of her time, including creating and arranging flowers for the church, was as an active member of the Palmyra Moravian Women's Fellowship Siebke Circle, and served as the church's representative for the Bread Of Life Food Pantry. Carol enjoyed creating beautiful gardens at her home and loved to shop, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 55-years, Philip V. Graf, and by her siblings, Bonnie Sheridan (the late Jack) and Noel Coles and his wife Carol, and by her in-laws, Rt. Rev. Paul Graf and his wife Jane, and Harley Graf and his wife Diane. Also surviving are her, as well her nephews & nieces, David (Amy), Daniel (Gail), Todd (Stephanie), Karen (John), Kris, Steve (Karen) and Kelly along with their families including her 14 great-nieces and great-nephews. Additionally, she is survived by her church family, many teaching colleagues and students, and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077 and a visitation on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM all at the Palmyra Moravian Church, 1921 Cinnaminson Avenue, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor would be preferred to the Carol Graf Memorial Scholarship, c/o RVRHS, 520 Jacksonville Rd., Mt.
