Carol M. Lieggi, age 77, of Marlton, NJ, formerly of Palmyra, NJ, passed on April 22, 2024.
Carol was born in Jersey City, NJ to Edith and Luigi Lieggi. Her family moved to Cinnaminson in her early childhood, and she ultimately settled in Palmyra where she remained a longtime resident until recently moving to Marlton. Carol was a graduate of Palmyra High School and a member of Sacred Heart Church, Riverton.
Carol worked for many years for Sears at their outlet store in Pennsauken, NJ. She enjoyed dancing, collecting snow babies, all types of crafts, and she also spent many years as a sales representative for Paparazzi Jewelry. Carol loved to gather with family and friends at her home where she enjoyed sharing meals, a piece of cake or just a cup of coffee. Everyone was always welcome in her home. Most of all, Carol cherished spending time with her family, including her siblings, her children, grand-children, and great-grandchildren.
Carol was predeceased by her beloved son, Louis Altieri, her parents, Edith (nee' Orcutt) and Luigi Lieggi, and her siblings, Paul Lieggi, Mary Mulvihill, Marian Christ and Nancy Lieggi. Carol is survived by her beloved daughter, Nicole Cahill and her husband Bert Cahill, III, her grandchildren, Brett Cahill and his wife Ally, and Chelsea Cahill, and by her great-grandchildren, Lily Cahill and Kenna Cahill. Also surviving are her sisters, Gloria "Corky" Fanelli and Shirley Diem, along with her many nieces, nephews and their families, in addition to her many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, all at Sacred Heart Church, 4th Street & Linden Avenue, Riverton, NJ. Interment will then follow at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, Rt. 130 at Andover Road, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
