Carolyn S. Mellwig, age 80, recently of Cherry Hill, NJ, and formerly of Cinnaminson and Delran, passed peacefully on December 29, 2024.

Carolyn was born and raised in Philadelphia to the late Peggy and George Wentzell. She met and married her husband, Robert E. Mellwig, and they lived in South Jersey, Ohio and Texas before settling in Cinnaminson, NJ to raise their family. Carolyn and Robert later moved to Delran, NJ.

Carolyn worked in customer service for both U.S. Steel and for a many years with Bell Telephone/Verizon. She and Robert enjoyed travelling together, especially in the campground at the Jersey Shore, visiting may locations throughout the United States, but her favorite was spending time with family. Carolyn lived for her family, most of all her grandchildren, and she loved their family vacations together down the shore, spending many hours on the beach. She also had a great love for her dogs, which she had several over the years.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert E. Mellwig, and her siblings, Connie Marlowe, Peggy Cottrell, Jerry Wentzel and Ralphie Mulhaussen. She is survived by her loving children, Robert C. Mellwig and his wife, Colleen, and Matthew S. Mellwig and his wife Joanne, along with her beloved grandchildren, Juliet, Pierce, Jackson, Marilyn, Wesley and Wren. Also surviving are her sisters, Sue Hesse and Patricia "Pat"' Schlussel, her sisters-in-law, Maryann Worrell and Marguerite "Penny" Murphy, and by her nieces, nephews and by their families.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM, all at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077. Entombment committal will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
