Celesta "Esther" DiLeonardo (Simeone), of Palmyra, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the remarkable age of 108. Born on May 21, 1918, Celesta lived a long and extraordinary life centered on faith, family, and friendship.

She was the beloved daughter of Luciano Simeone and Michelina Pellegrino. Celesta was predeceased by her devoted husband, John DiLeonardo, who passed away in 1981; her cherished children, Joseph (Pat) DiLeonardo of Palmyra, Sandra (Joseph) O'Neill of Palmyra, and John (Debbie) DiLeonardo of Levittown, Pennsylvania; and her sisters, Josephine Zappasodi, Frances Iamurri, and Gilda Dippolito.

She is lovingly survived by her grandchildren, Dave, Vinny, Joey (Diane), Stacy, and Michela; her great-grandchildren, David, Kaitlyn, and Siena; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched. Her love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Celesta retired from Home Lite after a 20-year career as an administrative clerk. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters, the Recycled Teenagers dance group, and Willing and Able. She found joy in crocheting, gardening, and keeping up with the latest fashions. Independent and spirited, she continued driving until she was 98 years old.

Above all else, Celesta treasured her family. She was her grandchildren's biggest fan, faithfully attending their sporting events and celebrating every milestone in their lives. One of her favorite holiday traditions was baking pizzelles at Christmastime alongside her daughters-in-law and grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Her warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit made every gathering special.

Family and friends are invited to attend Celesta's viewing on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 103 Fourth Street, Riverton, NJ 08077. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Celesta's memory to Sacred Heart Church, 103 Fourth Street.
