Obituary

Charles K. O'Malley, CPA, CFP ® of Cinnaminson, NJ passed away peacefully at home on April 18 th , he was 83.

Chuck, a graduate of St. Joseph's Prep '55 and LaSalle University '59, was the founder of O'Malley & O'Malley, LLP – CPA's, a member of the AICPA, and the NJ & PA State CPA Societies.  He was the son of William J. O'Malley, Jr., PA, EA, and Gertrude Kreuzer O'Malley. His Dad, Bill, created a Public Accounting Firm in 1945; the firm is still serving successors of his original clients. Chuck was frequently a speaker on taxation and retirement planning and was the editor of O'Malley News & Views , the firm's newsletter.

His volunteer activities included over 20 years as a member of Cinnaminson Township Zoning Board, where he served as both Chairman and Vice-Chairman, retiring at the end of 2013. He was also an advisor to the Audit Committee for Holy Cross High School, Delran, NJ (retired in 2014), and an adviser to the Finance Committee for Sacred Heart Church, Riverton, NJ (retired in 2018).

His hobbies included boating on the Chesapeake Bay, both sail (racing) and power; extensive traveling in the family's motor home, across the country and throughout Canada. He was the grandfather to many championship Irish Setters, Golden Retrievers, Springer Spaniels and other breeds. He enjoyed golf and swimming, but his true passion was creating 'Migit Valley Railroad' , his HO Scale model railroad version of the Transcontinental Railroad.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn (nee Alexander); his children, Mariette, Charles (Ann Sellers), Bill, David (Ann Bull), Kathy (Greg) Tarman and Jim (Julie McClain); his grandchildren, Justin O'Malley, Ryan O'Malley (Marissa Montgomery), Gregory Tarman, Jr., Benjamin Tarman, Cameron (TJ) Roberts, Eric O'Malley, Ethan O'Malley, Grace O'Malley, Logan Tarman, and Abbey O'Malley.

A Celebration of Life for Chuck will be held at a later date, when it is safe to do so. We will send the information on this when it is available.
