Charles A. Smith Jr. passed away suddenly on April 11, 2024 in Burlington, NJ, formerly of Palmyra, NJ. Charles was 74.

Beloved husband for 33 years to the late Janet Cooper Smith. He is survived by two daughters, Melanie Sweeney (Steve) and Julie Crowell (Glennon); and eight grandchildren, Steven, Gemma, Noah, Karyanna, Jaileen, Parker, Paxton, and Presley. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Doms; brother in-law, Robert 'Bob' Cooper (Lizann); nieces, Peggy House (Chris), Jeanine Doms, Holliann Snelson (David), and Lynleigh Mead (Richard); and a nephew, Robert Cooper III (Albany).

Charles was a veteran of the US Navy, had a passion for cooking, and was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church of Riverton-Palmyra.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30pm on Monday, April 22nd at Central Baptist Church of Riverton-Palmyra, 514 Maple Ave., Palmyra. The memorial service will begin at approximately 7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Janet Cooper Smith Scholarship Fund c/o Cinnaminson High School, 1197 Riverton Rd., Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. This was a scholarship fund set up for his late wife and has provided students of Cinnaminson High School scholarship opportunities for the last 10 years.
