Obituary

Clarence E. Bowers, aka "Beaver" of Moorestown NJ, formerly of Palmyra, NJ passed away on Friday June 23, 2023.   He was the son of Edward & Lucy Volpe Bowers.  Born in 1932, he was raised in Palmyra, attended Sacred Heart Parochial School, and graduated Class of 1948.  He attended Palmyra HS, graduated from the Class of 1952.

Beaver was a dedicated 3-sport athlete excelling in basketball, baseball, and football.  He served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1953.  When Corporal Bowers returned home, he worked at US Pipe in Burlington.  After marrying the love of his life, Lorraine Matthews, in 1958 they moved to Moorestown where he worked for Moorestown Twp. Public Works as Forman of The Water Treatment plant retiring in 1994.  Living and raising his family in "Lenola" for 65 years, he spent his spare time coaching young boys the art of baseball for the Championship Lenola Indians as well as football for Greentree Association of Mt. Laurel.

Surviving are Lorraine his wife of 65 years, (3) Children:  2 Sons, Bill & Colleen Deasy-Bowers, Mike & Tamara Santone Bowers, (1) Daughter Karin Bowers-Kinkaide, (5) Grandchildren, Keri & Kevin Rutledge, William Bowers, Breanna & Ryan Gamelli , Kara & Cody Thompson, Cody & Lauren Kinkaide, (7) Great Grand Children, Collette Mae, Stella Veronica, Collins Anne, Finnegan James, Ryder Thomas, Kyler William, and Joseph Valentino

Internment at Lakeview Memorial of Cinnaminson will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations of one's choice or to Samaritan Hospice 3906 Church Rd. Mount Laurel, NJ 08054
