Claudia Mary
Saville
Nov 14, 1946 — Aug 14, 2024
On August 14th 2024 an indomitable force of love blew out of this mortal plain to gain her eternal peace. Claudia Mary Saville (Nee Edsell) was beloved by all who knew her and left this world with her loving family by her side at her home in Palmyra. Her vibrance and love of all who met her will be deeply missed. Her devoted husband of 60 years, Kenneth Richard Saville, rode the roller coaster of life with her through joy, travel, and births of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In life, Claudia enjoyed camping, gardening, playing solitaire, rummy, dominos, scrabble, reading and spending time with family. Music was always playing in the home along with lots of dancing and her favorite, Manilow. Through her long and busy life, Claudia worked as a substitute teacher in Burlington County and at Hess Corp. and Subaru of America as a secretary. She was a graduate of Burlington County College (now Rowan).
Her children, Diane "Dee", Walter (Hollie Piergross), and Donna Eileen (Stephen Conroy), learned life from her example of constant compassion, kindness and perseverance that was awe-inspiring. Her grandchildren called her Nana and she was always ready for hugs and giving them the biggest gift of all: her time and unending love. James, April Bower (M. Shane), twins Caden and Cole Conroy and older brother Shane Conroy spent as much time as possible eating her wonderful cooking and sampling the never-ending snack cabinet she kept fully stocked just for them. The Great-Grands, Bianca Baun and Ian Bower, enjoyed video chats and Nana hugs, which envelope like a warm breeze.
Her beloved nieces spent much time with 'Aunt Dia', Carolyn (Jesse), Sabrina (Greg) and Renee (Josh). Claudia is the oldest of seven children, predeceased by her parents G. Clark Edsell and Eileen Edsell and her 'baby' brother Christopher. She is also survived by siblings, Bob (Janet), Martin (Laurie), Kathleen Brown (Cliff), Thomas, & Mary Eileen Neighbour (Andrew); siblings-in-law Carl, Gary, and Paul (Helen); and the vast plethora of Saville Nieces, Nephews and Greats too numerous to list, but you all know how much Aunt 'Dia' loved you all!
There was no greater joy for Claudia than her time along the Delaware River, where she will eventually be laid to rest. Rather than services in her memory, the family asks that mourners remember Claudia by doing something to make others happy, just as she always did.
"The greatest gift you can give someone is your smile:, it's free, returnable, and always a perfect fit"
