Obituary

Delores B Smith of Palmyra, NJ passed away peacefully on Sept 25 th , she was 78.

Delores grew up in Dundalk, MD. She received a Bachelors degree from the Maryland Institute of Fine Arts.  Delores was an extremely talented artist. Despite the fact that Delores became legally blind later in life, she persisted with art. She became actively involved with the Philadelphia Art Museum in a program for visually impaired artists. Some of her artwork was displayed at galleries set up at the Will's Eye Institute of Philadelphia to promote the works of visually impaired artists on a professional level.

Delores was a member of Recourses for Independent Living, which benefits the blind, and Converge Church (formerly Maranatha) in Moorestown, NJ.

Delores is survived by her children, Janene Losinno-Mason (William) of Palmyra, Jill Losinno-Murray (Kyle) of Providence, RI, Joel Losinno (Rachel) of Riverton, Jackson Ried (Crystal Hines) of Palmyra, grandson, Andrew Losinno and sister, Martha Krammer of Bowlers Corner, MD.

A viewing for Delores will be held on Sunday September, 29 th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ 08077.  A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday September 30 th at 11:30am at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Rt. 130 N., Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions in Delores' memory may be made to the New Jersey State Library Talking Book and Braille Center: NJSL/TBBC, Attn: Development Dept, 2300 Stuyvesant Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08618.
