Doris May Shaner (nee Dennis), of Palmyra, NJ, age 99, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Born in Mount Holly, NJ, on May 5, 1927, Doris was raised in Palmyra, NJ, attended Sacred Heart School and was a graduate of Camden Catholic High School in 1945.

Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as aunt and friend.

Doris was predeceased by her husband, Ervin B. Shaner; her brothers, Ralph and James Dennis; her sisters, Marie McLaughlin (Dennis) and Hazel Thomason (Dennis); her sister-in-law, Dorothy Hare (Shaner); and her granddaughter, Michele Copeland.

Doris is survived by her children, sons Roger Shaner and Craig Shaner, and daughter Dori Shaner Parker (Fred); her grandchildren, Lucas Shaner, Hayley Shaner Crouse, Alex Shaner (Paloma), Brooke Shaner Funk (Jason), and Chuck Copeland; her great-grandchildren, Ethan and Ainsley Crouse, Adam and Marcus Shaner, and Nathan and Noah Funk; her sisters, Patricia DiLeonardo and Kathleen Urwiler; her sister-in-law, Patricia Dennis; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Doris was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Church in Riverton, NJ, and volunteered for many years, particularly with Catholic Daughters and the Requiem Choir.  She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, watching her Philadelphia sports teams, and, most of all, spending time with her family.

A viewing for Doris will be held on Monday, June 1st, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, all at Sacred Heart Church, 4th Streetand Linden Ave., Riverton, NJ 08077.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, 1300 Rt. 130 N., Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.  Arrangements are under the care of Weber Funeral Home, Riverton, NJ (856-829-2700)
