Dorothy V. Hicks (nee Stewart) of Deptford passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Christmas Day, she was 94.

Dorothy loved to read and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.  She had a long career including 20+   years with J. C. Penney where she had many friends.  She worked until she was 77 and still went on to volunteer in her retirement at Inspira Hospital in Woodbury.  Dorothy enjoyed time with family and friends---always with a smile.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George A., children, Laura Hicks-Plocharski, George John and granddaughter, Denise de la Pena.  She is survived by her son, Robert (Deborah), grandchildren, Timothy P. (Tara), Rebecca L.  Smith (Adam), Michelle K., Gregory Plocharski, great-grandchildren, Krysta Hahn, William de la Pena, Rachel de la Pena, Taylor, Timothy George, and great-great-grandson, Ayden Hahn.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held on Thursday, Jan. 6 ^th from 10:00am to 11:30 am, followed by a memorial service  at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ 08077.  Interment private. Please Note: Face Masks are required and Social Distancing will be maintained.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to The American Cancer Society.
