Dorothy Rock, age 84, longtime resident of Cinnaminson, NJ passed peacefully on January 2, 2026.
Born in 1941 to Mary and Paul Tomko, Dorothy was one of their twelve children. She grew up in Wilkes Barre, PA and following her marriage to Fred Rock, they ultimately settled in Cinnaminson, NJ in 1971 where they raised their family of four children.
Dorothy was devoted to her Catholic faith. She worked for several years leading the youth programs at St. Casimir's Church and School in Riverside, NJ. Dorothy was also a longtime active parishioner and volunteer at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Merchantville, NJ and was currently a parishioner at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Cinnaminson, NJ.
Dorothy was known for her love for babies and children. She could never resist holding a baby. Dorothy also spent many years taking care of infants and children at her home for many families in the Cinnaminson area. She was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Paul Tomko, her beloved husband of 53-years, Fred Rock, and her siblings Richard, Cheryl, Doris, Jonathan and Sandra. Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Lisa Friedrich and husband Adam, Donna Harry and husband Pete, Don Rock and wife Amanda, and Deb Young and husband Tim. Also surviving are her dear grandchildren, Ally (Kevin), Jordan, Lauren, PJ (Kristen), Dylan (Kerri), Christopher, Holly, Joey, Samantha, Katie, Tim, Rob, Melissa and Brian, as well as her nine great-grandchildren. Dorothy is also survived by her siblings, Paul, Don (Jackie), Sylvia, Daryl, Lorna, Dave (Rita) and by several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 beginning promptly at 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. Private entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
