Dorothy
Snowden
Sep 4, 1930 — Dec 16, 2025
Dorothy Snowden, age 95, longtime resident of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed peacefully on December 16, 2025.
Dorothy was born in Lancaster, England to Alice and Albert Berry. After marrying her husband, Harry C. Snowden, they emigrated to Canada and ultimately to the United States in 1959, settling in Cinnaminson, NJ.
Dorothy was a longtime member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Riverton, where she was active in the Choir. She loved music and was an avid gardener who took pride in her beautiful rose bushes. Dorothy was an excellent cook and a skilled seamstress, making many of her own clothing.
Dorothy had a close group of friends, all of whom had emigrated from outside the U.S. and were affectionately known as the "All Nations". Together, they would gather at least monthly for many years to have coffee and tea, play cards, talk and enjoy lunch together. As a proper English lady, Dorothy was always ready for a cup of tea and enjoyed watching matches of her favorite "football" (soccer) clubs.
Most of all, Dorothy was devoted to her husband, their four sons and her six beloved grandchildren. Affectionately known as "Nana", her family was the most important part of her life.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Harry C. Snowden, in 1999, and her sister-in-law, Margaret. She is survived by her loving children, Robert Martin Snowden and wife Kim, Kevin Leigh Snowden and wife Marlene, Andrew Duncan Snowden and Peter Ewan Snowden and wife Patrice, as well as by her beloved grandchildren, Michael Snowden, Ryan Snowden, Kyle Snowden, Brianna Bradley and husband Isaac, Trevor Snowden and wife Elizabeth, and Lauren Snowden. Dorothy is also survived by her bother-in-law Brian Snowden and wife Valerie.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, December 22, 2025 for a visitation from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by her funeral service at 7:00 PM, all at the WEBER FUNERAL HOME, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077 (856-829-2700)
