Obituary

Douglas Guy Myles, Sr., age 65, of Moorestown, NJ passed suddenly at his home on July 20, 2024.

Guy was born on October 3, 1958 to Carolanne (nee Donadio) and William Jay Myles, Sr. He grew up in Pennsauken, NJ and was a longtime resident of Mt. Laurel, NJ before moving to Moorestown.

Guy lived for the family business, Myles Transportation in Cinnaminson, NJ, where he was an owner and specialized in Fleet Management. He was always very mechanically inclined and in addition to working on the company's tractors and trailers, Guy enjoyed working on dirt-bikes, cars, trucks and building 4x4's for fun.

He was an avid camper who loved being outdoors and travelling in his RV. Guy regularly hiked with his dogs into the woods along the Rancocas Creek. He had a deep love for dogs throughout his life and always had his dogs with him, including his most recent pair Myles and Clyde. Guy enjoyed four-wheeling down the river, partying at Tippins Pond and the Pine Barrens, and hanging with all of his friends in the garage at the family's Pennsauken home. Most of all, Guy loved his wife, children, grandchildren and his entire Myles family.

Predeceased by his parents, Carolanne and William Jay Myles, Sr., his dear son, Douglas Guy Myles, Jr. and beloved grandson, Douglas Guy Myles, III, he is survived by his wife, Anna M. Myles (nee McLaughlin), son Shane Myles and his wife Beth, and daughters, Lindsey Myles and Melanie Myles. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Alyvia, Dylan, Shane Jr., Sean, Will, Myles and Giuliana, as well as his siblings, William Jay Myles, Jr. (Kathy), Carolanne Brennan (Tom), Judilynne Myles, Bartholmew D. Myles and Ruthanne Jamison (Mike). Guy is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews along with their families, and by many friends.
