Douglas James Wentworth, age 63, of Palmyra, NJ passed peacefully on January 13, 2026 following a battle with cancer.

Doug was born in 1962 to the late Joan (nee' Scroggy) and James P. Wentworth. He grew up in Riverton, NJ and graduate of Palmyra High School. He remained a lifelong resident of Riverton and Palmyra. Doug's favorite activity was fishing, especially along the Delaware River in Riverton at Linden Avenue and Penn Street. He enjoyed teaching his children to fish with him and loved taking them to Long Beach Island where he enjoyed swimming in the ocean.

Doug is survived by his loving children, Douglas J. DeSante (Amy Rose), Nicholas P. Wentworth (Tatiana), Katelyn M. Wentworth and Jonathon T. Wentworth, as well as his beloved grandsons, Travis Brewer and Salvatore Tamburro. Doug is also survived by his brother, Matthew Wentworth, the mother of his children, Jessica A. DeSante, and his lifelong, dear friends, Kenny Atzert and Randy Pfaff. In addition to his parents, Joan and James P. Wentworth, Doug was also predeceased by his sisters, Gail, Phyllis and Marjorie.
