Edward W. Downs of Willingboro passed away peacefully on March 30 ^th , he was 94.

Edward was born in Trenton, NJ to the late Edward and Beatrice (nee Gilbert) and has lived in Willingboro for the past 55 years.  He served proudly as a Sea Bee in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  Following the war he entered the reserves and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer for a total of 38 years of service.  Edward also enjoyed at 30+ year career for the NJ State Department of Transportation.  Edward enjoyed boating, sailing with a lot of friends, RVing, and woodworking.

Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce and daughter, Brenda.  He is survived by children, Edward, William (Mildred), Nancy (John) Burton, 12 grandchildren. 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Edward will be held on Saturday, April 15 ^th from 2:00pm to 3:00pm , followed by a memorial service at 3:00pm , all at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ 08077 .  Interment at B.G. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be held privately.
