Eleanor Sklar (Nathan) of Riverton, NJ born August 19, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York passed away on May 18 ^th from complications of Alzheimer's.

Eleanor married Harvey Martin Sklar 60 years ago and left Brooklyn for Saugerties, NY and a lifetime filled with adventures.  She lived her life pursuing her passions of travel, reading and cooking.  Her favorite travel was anything filled with deep history from Pompei, to India.  If Eleanor had a trip planned with friends or family she was in heaven.

Eleanor combined her love for travel and a passion for cooking successfully pursuing a degree from Cordon Bleu in Paris, France.  Learning the French language, she fully immersed herself in another culture while mastering sauces and pastries.  Anyone who knew her would benefit from this experience at a meal from her kitchen - Thanksgiving was never just a turkey, stuffing, and pie.

But most of all Eleanor's true loves were her grandchildren Nicholas, Thomas, Alexander, and Rachel. She was present at all their births and was a loving grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years Harvey Sklar, daughters Stephanie Martin, husband Richard Martin and Jackie Senich, husband Jeffrey Senich, sister Enid Angstreich, husband David Angstreich, and niece Elizabeth Prentice.

A viewing for Eleanor will be held on Tuesday, May 25 ^th from 9:30am to 11:00am at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ 08077.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
