Elizabeth (Liz/Beth) Bongiovanni McDonald of Cinnaminson, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on September 16, 2025, at the age of 56.

Liz was preceded in death by her parents, Gary and Ruth Sekora. She is survived by her husband, Michael McDonald, and her sons, Andrew Bongiovanni and Alex Bongiovanni. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings—Dave Jessop and his wife Carol, Carol Jessop, Anne Perlowin and her husband Jeff, Chris Sekora and his wife Heather, and Mark Sekora and his wife Chaila, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Liz earned a master's degree in education from Stony Brook University, which led to a distinguished 30-year career as a special education teacher. She devoted 27 years of her career to Eleanor Rush Intermediate School in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, where she inspired and guided countless students and colleagues. She retired in 2022, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, patience, and dedication to the children she served.

Liz was an avid fiction reader, loved exercise, swimming, playing golf, board/card games, and cooking.  She had a very generous and loving personality, as well as a lovingly sarcastic sense of humor.

Services for Liz will be held privately.
