Elizabeth Lois Felton was born in Syracuse, New York to Charles Beyer Moore and
Sara Bradford (Harvey) Moore on April 30,1926. She passed into God's Loving Arms on
January 20, 2021. Her parents and older sister, Phyllis, were originally from
Philadelphia, PA. however, they relocated to Syracuse temporarily when her father's
employment took them there.
Soon after her birth, her father's employer transferred him back to Philadelphia. She
was raised there in a family environment were her parents had numerous family
members and friends.
She was educated in their section of West Philadelphia. As she grew, she attended
Oliver Wendell Holmes Junior High School until1941 and later she was graduated from
West Philadelphia High School (1944). After her schooling, she was a Secretary for the
Elliot-Lewis Company then the Otis Elevator Company and while there met the love of
her life, James Bruce Felton."
After numerous dates, she and "Bruce" were married on the 28th of February 1959 in
the Church of the Holy Apostles and The Mediator at 51st & Spruce Sts. in Philadelphia.
They originally moved to Metuchen, NJ close to "Bruce's" employment. A few years
later, they moved to Delanco, NJ and were living closer to her sister who lived in Delran.
Bruce was employed at U.S. Pipe in Burlington as an outside Sales Representative and
this was much closer to his work. "Betty" got a job as an Executive Secretary for Wm. J.
Levitt & Sons Co. who were developing homes as Levittown in Willingboro, New Jersey.
She is survived by her nephews Mal Anderson (Nancy) and Brad Anderson (Karen)
and their children and grandchildren, cousins Jean L. Phillips and Patty Winn Kirk, along
with close friends John and LaRae Garretson, Judy Barker. Also, her husband, parents
and sister, Phyllis Anderson Ferguson, predeceased her as did a son, James Bruce
Felton Jr.
Arrangements were made by Weber Funeral Home, Riverton, NJ. At her wish, there
will be no viewing and the family will gather for a graveside memorial.
