Eugene (Gene) J. Aikens, Jr., Age 75, of Pennsauken, NJ passed away March 29, 2019 from a short battle with Leukemia.

Gene was born to the late Eugene and Edna Aikens, Sr. in Camden NJ. Predeceased by his brother, Alfred Rogers, Ex-wife Carol Anne Hawkins and nephew Gary Rogers. Survived by Ex-wife Karen McKnight, daughter, Carol-Marie Mejzak (Jerry), son Arthur Aikens (Annette), daughter Jennifer Becker (Jim), son Eugene Aikens (Tracy), and step son Joey McKnight (Candy). Also survived by his grandchildren, Geoffrey, Kara, Ryan, Isabella, Ashley, John, Joey, Raymond, Scott, Kevin, Anneliese, Henry, Lucy, Michael and Ashley. Also survived by 5 and 1/2 great grandchildren.

Gene worked several trades through out his lifetime, he was a skilled carpenter then part owner of a bar in Pennsauken to working at Toys R us for several years before retiring. Gene loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gene also had a very longtime friend William Dalmer who recently predeceased him. Gene will be remembered for his smart humor and being there for whenever you needed him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street (River Road), Riverton, NJ 08077 immediately followed by burial at the Asbury Methodist Cemetery, Cinnaminson, NJ.
