Frank V. Shevlin, Jr., age 77, of Medford Lakes, NJ passed on August 23, 2024.
Frank was the oldest son of Margaret T. (nee Baxter) and Frank V. Shevlin. He was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Camden, NJ. After marrying Elizabeth "Betsy" (nee Hoad), they settled for a time in Pennsauken, NJ and began their family before moving to Medford Lakes, where they have lived for 40 years.
Frank spent his career in the Mortgage & Finance Industry in South Jersey. He was instrumental in the growth of Equity One Mortgage Co. (now Popular Financial) where he worked for many years before joining National Future Mortgage Corp., serving as National Director for Mortgage Originations until his retirement. Frank was a very social person who enjoyed his friendships and thrived networking with colleagues and clients to help families secure mortgages for their dream homes.
Frank has been a 40+ year parishioner of St. Mary of the Lakes Parish, Medford. He was active for many years with the Medford Lakes Athletic Association where he coached baseball and was also active with the Boy Scouts. Frank was an avid tennis player for many years and a dedicated Phillies and Eagles fan. Most of all Frank loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, but his greatest role was a "Pop-Pop" to his beloved grandchildren, Emily and Derek.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank V. Shevlin and Margaret T. "Nan" Shevlin. He is survived by his devoted wife 52 years, Elizabeth "Betsy" Shevlin (nee Hoad), his loving children, Samantha Andryca and her husband Scott, and Christopher Shevlin, and by his beloved grandchildren, Emily Andryca and Derek Andryca. Frank is also survived by his brothers, John Shevlin and Bob Shevlin, along with his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and their families.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 10:30 to 11:00 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, all at St. Mary of the Lakes, 40 Jackson Road, Medford, NJ 08055.
