Gerald P. Higgins of Riverton passed away peacefully on Oct. 31 ^st , he was 87.

Gerald was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, one of 6 children to Thomas and Catherine (nee Regan) Higgins.  He served proudly as a Sergeant in the US Army from 1954 - 1957 then went on to work as a refrigeration technician.  After retirement, he went on to teach the refrigeration trade at a school to help men who were recently released from prison to re-enter society.  Gerald was handy in everything, enjoyed home improvement projects, watching Philly sports, reading and was a proud member of the "zipper club."

Gerald was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joanne (nee Smith) Higgins.  He is survived by sons, Gerald M. (Karen Lynn) Higgins, Patrick J. Higgins, grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Higgins, Kaylee Skye Higgins, sister, Marcella Pucillo and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Gerald will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12 ^th from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00am, all at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ 08077.  Interment private.
