Geraldine Rooney, died on June 5, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, with her husband of 53 years, Francis,by her side.

Geraldine was born on December 11, 1943, in Philadphelpia, PA, the daughter of Caroline and Sigmund Trembowicz.

Predeceased by her sons, Francis and Lawrence, and her brother Robert.

Beloved wife of Francis X. Rooney, devoted mother to Dennis (Carri) of Delran, Eileen Bleistine of Cinnaminson, Matthew, Brendan of Cinnaminson, Erin Cogan (Kevin) of Cinnaminson, and daughter-in-law, Jill of Marlton.  Geraldine is also survived by her sister Irene Heron (Patrick) and her twenty grandchildren.

Geraldine graduated from St. Hubert's High School in 1961, where she was captain of the basketball team.  She enjoyed driving a school bus for the Moorestown School district for twenty-five years.

Gerry proudly served as President of Burlington County Right to Life for over twenty years and was a devoted member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, in Merchantville.   As a member of the parish, Gerry faithfully attended the Perpetual Miraculous Medal Novena, Eucharistic Adoration, as well as many other prayer groups and activities.

Gerry enjoyed many social outings including bowling, bingo and All Saints/St. John's Seniors.  She lived her faith, loved her family and will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Monday, June 11th, 2018 from 7-9pm at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street,  Riverton, NJ.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on June 12th, 10am at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Merchantville, NJ.  Interment to follow.
