Irvin Wendell Stoops, age 90, of Palmyra and Marlton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2018

Irv was born in Riverside, NJ on October 19, 1928. His family moved to Palmyra where he attended Palmyra High School, graduating in 1946. He was a proud Eagle Scout and Korean War Army Veteran. He had a successful career at Rohm and Haas. Irv had a love of the shore where he spent many summers throughout his life. He was an avid fisherman and boater and talented craftsman and wood carver.

Irv was the devoted husband of wife Muriel (née Rudolph), and is also survived by sister Isabelle Godfrey (Don), daughter Melissa Hancock (Paul), son Gary Hulton (Junko), daughter Sandra Taylor (Bill) and son Kenneth Stoops (Nancy). He was the proud and loving grandfather of Jesse and Sophia Hancock, Ryan Hulton, Lauren and Christian Taylor, Amy and Kimmie Stoops, and Michael Loeschwitz (Natalie), and great-grandfather of Georgio, Landon, Carter and Aubrey.

Irv was pre-deceased by his parents Edward and Viola Stoops, brother Edward Stoops, and sister Shirley Seither.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077. A burial service will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson at 11:15 AM.
