Obituary

James "Jim" W. Gordon, 68, passed away on December 2, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

A devoted family man, loyal friend, and lifelong Philadelphia sports enthusiast, Jim lived a life defined by love, dedication, and integrity.

Jim is predeceased by his parents, Flora and Richard Gordon, and by his wife, Jo-Ann Gordon. He was the beloved father of Jimmy (42) and daughter-in-law Kate Gordon; Jenna (40) and son-in-law James Regan; Danielle (38) and son-in-law Wes Emme; and Brian (37) and daughter-in-law Jennifer Gordon. He was a devoted Pop to 14 grandchildren: Ryan (10), Harper (10), Hannah (8), Carter (8), Maggie (7), Jojo (7), Brooklyn (7), Olivia (5), Charlotte (5), Parker (5), Brian (4), Madison (2), Blake (2), and Brayden (8 months).

Jim was the brother of Richard, Carol, Diane, Steven, Kenneth, and Daniel. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great friends. He was very proud of his family and often referred to himself as "rich with family."

Jim was a proud "Philly guy" through and through—never missing a chance to cheer on his favorite teams or share that passion with those around him. His excitement on game days was infectious and became one of the many ways he connected with the people he loved.

Family was at the center of Jim's world. His 14 grandchildren brought him immense joy, and he leaves behind a legacy of warmth, support, and countless memories that his family will forever hold close.

Jim valued loyalty deeply—a trait evident in the lifelong friendships he maintained with his childhood friends. His ability to hold onto those early bonds spoke to his character, sincerity, and the steady presence he offered throughout his life.

A hardworking man in every sense, Jim approached everything he did with determination and pride. Whether for his family, his work, or his community, he gave his all.

Jim will be remembered for his big heart, his unwavering dependability, and the love he shared so freely. His absence leaves a profound void, but his legacy lives on in the lives he touched.
