Obituary

Joan B. Gill of Palmyra passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 9 th , she was 85.

Joan was born and raised in Philadelphia where she was very active at St. Helena Catholic Church, founding the "Help Your Neighbor" ministry which provided food to those in need.  Joan very much enjoyed charitable giving, The Rosary, gardening, being a political analyst and most of all, her family.

Joan is survived by her children, Bernadette C. (Lee) Smith, James P. (Kathy) Curran, Jr., Mary C. (Paul) DeJoseph, Thomas A. Curran, Daniel J. Curran, Theresa (Frank) Keeler, Timothy J. (Donna) Curran, 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and sister, Elizabeth (Tom) Hornsby. She is pre-deceased by her sisters, Suzanne Hartnett and Mary Catherine (Michael) Doyle, and her grandson Stephen P. DeJoseph (Alicia).

A visitation for Joan will be held on Saturday, August 21 st from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, all at Sacred Heart Church, 4 th and Linden Ave., Riverton, NJ 08077.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan's name may be made to the Food Bank of South Jersey at www.foodbanksj.org
