Joann K. Commisso, age 78, of Delran, NJ passed peacefully at her home on August 12, 2025.

Joann was born in Mt. Holly, NJ in 1946 to Eleanor (nee' Wonderlin) and Joseph J. Stepien. She grew up in Riverside, NJ and was a graduate of Riverside High School, class of 1964. Joann was a Delran resident for the past 56-years.

Joann retired from Macmillan Publishing/Simon & Schuster Publishing after a 26-year career with the company. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary and VFW Post 3020 Delran. She was also longtime member of the former Moose Lodge 279 Delran, where she loved to dance with her husband Bob Tomkiewicz and their many friends. Joann had great rhythm and took every opportunity to get out on the dance floor. Her family will continue to fondly remember her hosting her annual Christmas Day Breakfasts, where she served delicious food and encouraged everyone to "come in, eat, and get out".

Joann was predeceased by her parents, Eleanor and Joseph Stepien, her first husband and father of her children, Robert Commisso, her late husband, Robert L. Tomkiewicz, and her grandson, Vincent Commisso.

Joann is survived by her children, Robert and Teresa Commisso, Brian and Paula Commisso, and Kathleen Whitehead (the late Jimmy Whitehead). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Anthony Commisso, Joseph Commisso (Paige), and Samantha Commisso, and her great-granddaughter, Aubri Commisso, along with her best friend of 65-years, Carol Grabert.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Viewing on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, all at the WEBER FUNERAL HOME, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077.
