John B. Gehret , Jr. of Palmyra entered in to eternal rest on Feb. 22 ^nd , he was 66.

Born in Geneva, NY, John lived in Burbank, CA for 18 years where he enjoyed an acting career, playing rolls in Swing Shift, My Sister Sam, Grease and many other film productions. He loved old movies, particularly westerns starring John Wayne and Humphrey Bogart. He loved the Looney Tunes cartoons, especially Bugs Bunny and Sylvester the Cat.  He was a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and was over the hill with joy at their Super Bowl win last year.  He was an avid collector of movie and cartoon memorabilia and just about anything you can think of.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John & Mary (nee Crain.)  He is survived by his loving sister, Beth, uncles, Milton (Geneva) Crain, John (Barbara) Crain, Robert Gehret, aunt, Diane Crain and many cousins.

A viewing for John will be held on Monday, March 1 ^st from 9:00am to 11:00am, with a funeral service at 11:00am, all at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ 08077.  Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery at Historic Medford Village.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name may be made to the World Wildlife Fund or your local animal shelter.
