John Charles Wisotzkey, age 69, of Riverton, NJ passed away suddenly on Saturday August 25, 2018. John was born and raised in Philadelphia and lived his married life in Riverton.
John was employed by the Philadelphia School District for over 25 years prior to his retirement. He was proud veteran having served in the United State Navy during the Vietnam War.
John was a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan and was excited and grateful when the Eagles won the Superbowl. He enjoyed summer evenings watching and rooting for the Phillies. He had a quick wit and always had a new joke or two for everyone he met.
John was the beloved husband of Marybeth. He was a loving father to his four children, Kathleen Wisotzkey Mahoney (John) of Riverton, NJ, John M. Wisotzkey (Laura) of Philadelphia, PA, Anne W. Wisotzkey of Riverton, NJ, and Edward Bednarski (deceased). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Samantha, Johnny and Jessica Mahoney (JR). He is also survived by his brother, Daniel (Suzanne) and his sister, Kathy as well as many friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 30 from 8:00 to 10:30 AM at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, N08077. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 103 Fourth Street (at Linden Avenue), Riverton, NJ 08077.
