Joseph J. Reteneller of Delran passed away at his home on Nov. 25th, he was 81.

Joe was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph A. and Grace.  He served proudly in the U.S. Army and then spent 30+ years in the Philadelphia Fire Dept., retiring as Captain (Okie-Dokie) and a member of the Philadelphia Fire Union, IAFF Local 22.

Joe was well known and impacted many players as a soccer coach over the years.  His coaching included, Juniata Park Boys & Girls Club, Fishtown Athletic Club, FC Bayern, Danubia SC, assistant varsity coach at Father Judge High School and Roman Catholic - all in Philadelphia.  He was also an assistant varsity coach at Cinnaminson High School.

While Joe's passions were the Philadelphia Fire Department and soccer, the most important part of his life always remained his family.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents and son, Christopher.  He is survived by his loving wife, Maryann (nee Castagno), children, Joseph M. (AnnMarie), Stacie (Ronald) Sims, Michael (Pam), daughter-in-law, Jill, grandchildren, Joseph Q., Grace, Alyssa, Amelia, Abigail, Riley, Connor, Avery, sister, Mary (Daniel) McCarthy and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing for Joe will be held on Friday, December 1st, from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, all at Sacred Heart Church, 4th and Linden Ave., Riverton, NJ 08077.  Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
