Obituary

Karl Lee Stockl was born on January 14, 1950, in Philadelphia, PA, before moving to Palmyra, NJ, when he was five.  He passed away peacefully in the hospital after a brief illness on July 25, 2024.

Karl is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Susan Stockl (nee Duff); his three children, Brandon (Jen), Brian (Linda), and Ashley (Matt).  Lovingly known as "Poop Pop" to his five grandchildren, Abbigale, Samantha, Evan, Kyle, and Cade. Karl is also survived by his brother, Paul Stockl, two nieces, and one nephew.  Predeceased by his father Paul Stockl and mother Erma Stockl, Karl also leaves behind his sister-in-law Alison Laughlin and brother-in-law Andy Duff (Lynne).

Karl and Susan met in their hometown of Palmyra, New Jersey, where, after marrying, they continued to reside until recently moving to Delran, NJ. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren sometimes sharing "Karlisms" with them.  He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and in later years, model railroading and watching nostalgic television shows.

His canine companions were dear to him.  Daisy and Cali have stayed behind with Susan, but Rosey is on a long walk with him now.

Karl received his degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Spring Garden College, Philadelphia, PA.  He began his career as a Technical Writer at Unisys and worked for over 20 years in the technology field before retiring.

A viewing for Karl will be held on Thursday, August 1st, 2024 from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00am, all at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ 08077.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
