Larry Jay
Hanna
d. Mar 17, 2019
Larry Jay Hanna, of Delanco, NJ, passed away on March 17, 2019. He was 62.
Larry was born and raised in Philadelphia and moved to South Jersey in 1979. He worked as a tool & die maker for S&S Precision and then J&M Precision. He loved creating products ranging from making the mold for a razor blade to secret items for the government or parts for the space shuttle.
In his youth, Larry was a tremendous athlete. He played soccer, hockey, gymnastics and bowling. In his early twenties and late thirties he continued to bowl, and participated in many tournaments up and down the East Coast. Larry loved music but especially grew fond of Old Time Radio on Sirius XM. If Larry wasn't bowling or working he'd be up before the crack of dawn to fight the early bird for the worm so he could fish. But, the one hobby above all else was cars; whether it be watching NASCAR religiously or driving his Roadrunner, Corvette, RV, Mustang, or Dodge Hemi, he loved cars.
Larry was a selfless and generous man with flawless character. He would do anything for anyone but especially for his children, whom he loved so much. His heart was truly made of gold.
Larry is survived by; his children, Ryan J. (Christina McClain), Kaycee (Theodore Charles) Vella, Danielle, Jamie (Blake) Ledger; his grandchildren, Emma, Ryan, Levi; his mother, Joan Hopwood Hanna; his siblings, Joseph, Randy, Terry; and many nieces and nephews, as well as his life-long friend, Ginny.
A memorial for Larry will be held at Dobbins Methodist Church, 330 Union Ave., Delanco, NJ 08075 on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 with a Visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association would be appreciated. Condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.weberfuneralhomeinc.com
