Layleeani A. Torres Carter of Camden passed away suddenly on April 9th, she was just 13 years old.

A current 8th grader at C.W. Lewis Middle school, Layleeani was a bright, creative, and artistic young lady.  She was a member of the school choir, and had a love for fashion, sewing, and expressing herself through her hair and personal style.

Layleeani was an active member of Converge Church in Moorestown where she was involved in youth group ministries.  She was also engaged in her personal growth journey with Your Growth Plan Workshop.

Layleeani is survived by her devoted mothers, Siani and Gladys Carter; her cherished grandparents, Carmen Torrales, Pedro Rodriguez, Elsie Medina, Esteban Medina, Robert Carter; and her beloved great-grandmother, Gertrude Torrales.  She also leaves behind loving aunts and uncles, Judith, Pedro, Milagros, Aixa, Antonio, Roberto, Amber, Bibi, Ashley, Jonathan, many other aunts & uncles, and very large, very loving group of cousins.

Layleeani also shared a special bond with her beloved pets: her dogs Laylah, Gizmo, Penelope, Star, Antony, Celia, Hunter, Fester, Stewart, and her turtle, Turby.

Layleeani will be missed beyond measure by all who knew her.

A viewing for Layleeani will be held on Friday, April 17th from 11:00am to 2:00pm followed by a celebration of her life at 2:00pm, all at Converge Church, 802 Lenola Rd., Moorestown, NJ 08057.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Layleeani's name may be made to the Animal Welfare Association, 509 Centennial Blvd., Voorhees, NJ 08043.
