Lucien S. Picard, age 90, of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed peacefully on February 5, 2023.
Born and raised in New Bedford, MA to Rose Alba and Arthur Picard, he was one of thirteen children. Together with his beloved wife of 58 years, the late Regina Picard, they were longtime residents of Freehold, NJ where they raised their family. Upon his retirement they moved to Sebring, FL for several years, after which Lucien returned to New Jersey following his wife's passing and resided in Cherry Hill for the past several years. Lucien was a devout Roman Catholic and was currently a parishioner at St. Thomas More Parish in Cherry Hill. He made his career in the Textile Industry, retiring as the Administrator of Quality Control for Marcus Brothers, NY, but his passion was as a woodworking craftsman with many completed projects to his credit.
Predeceased in 2010 by his beloved wife, Regina Picard, and his two grandchildren, Michael Chasse and Jamie Gray, Lucien is survived by his loving daughters, Jeanine Greenleaf and her husband Paul of Minot, ME, Christine Raymond and her husband Guy of Jackson, NJ, JoAnn Mahan and her husband Patrick of Middletown DE, and Rachel Picard Johnson and her husband John G. of Delran. He is survived by his sisters, Lucille St Onge and Claire Lagesse (Will), and by his 18 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday evening, February 13, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077 and to attend his Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, February 14, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Parish, 1439 Springdale Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 where a viewing will also be held from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM prior to Mass.
