Luella Jean Campbell, age 78, of Riverton, NJ passed surrounded by her family on December 10, 2023.

Luella was born in Marlborough, MA to the late Martha (nee' Felton) and Kenneth Alden. She grew up in Hudson, MA and graduated from Worcester Junior College. She settled in Riverton, NJ in 1970 to raise her family. Luella returned to school, studying at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia, graduating in 1985, she then went on to obtain her Teaching Degree from Rowan College of New Jersey, formerly Glassboro State College. She began her teaching career with the Willingboro School District where she remained as an Art Teacher for over 23-years until her retirement earlier this year.

Luella was a talented artist who loved drawing and painting, especially her views from her home along the Delaware River and the Riverton Yacht Club. She enjoyed taking long walks along the river and being out in nature, always sure to wear her sunscreen. Luella was a longtime member of the Pomona Swim Club, Cinnaminson where she spent many long summer days with her children and grandchildren. She was a lover of all types of music and attending concerts. Most of all she loved her family and her many students.

In addition to her parents, Luella was predeceased by her first grandchild, Koshari Kahikili, who passed in 2014 at the age of 19. She is survived by her children, Meredith Borden, Joy Butler and her husband Richard Butler, Nancy J. Campbell and Theodore D. Campbell. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kua Kowardy, Lindsey Butler, Eleanore Kowardy, Richie Butler, Mana Kowardy, Justin Butler and Zoe Campbell. Luella is also survived by her siblings, Jonn Alden, Dale Alden and Martha Sheehan and their families.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with her family on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a Remembrance Service at 7:00 PM, all at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077.
