Madeline Marie Henfey of Moorestown, formerly of Haddonfield, passed away peacefully on January 10.  She was 76 years old.

Madeline was born and raised in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Math from Holy Family College (now University) and later her MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.  Madeline worked for INA/Cigna/Ace from 1968 through 2003, starting in investments and strategic planning, becoming a Senior Investments Analyst and working her way up to Finance Director, Real Estate Administration.  She was employed until 2009 as an Internal Auditor of Revenue Compliance for Marsh USA.

She enjoyed decorative painting (including stenciling and faux finishing), dogs of all kinds (but particularly Golden Retrievers) and travel.  Trips included China, Australia and various parts of Europe, notably Ireland.  She was especially proud of her Irish heritage on both sides of the family and named her four Goldens Clancy, Mac(namara), Duffy and Reilly.

Madeline, an only child, was preceded in death by her parents, James and Madella Henfey, her aunt, Mildred McDermott, and her only cousin, Tom McDermott.  She is survived by many loving friends, including Joan Gmitter, Carol Smith and Mary Elizabeth Ruwell.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Madeline will be held on Thursday, January 18, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 42 West Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057.  Interment will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA
