Obituary

Margaret (Peggy) Dunn, age 91, passed away peacefully at home with her love by her side, Saturday, October 8, 2022. She was a lifelong resident of Northeast Philadelphia with the exception of the last two years in Palmyra NJ.
She is survived by her life partner of 43 years, Claire C. Boudwin. Their love was immeasurable and they were devoted to each other.  Much of her family preceded her in death; but is survived by many loving cousins and dear friends. Loving nephew John (Jay) Williams and wife, Kim were by her side to the end.
Peggy was a brilliant woman who faced many challenges. With determination, she overcame anything that threatened her peace.
Peggy attended Drexel and obtained a bachelor degree when many woman were not. A graphic artist, she worked many years for American Red Cross and other companies. Breaking the glass ceiling before it was even a common term; she often lead a team of men.
Peggy was a generous and caring person. She personally ensured anyone in her life was well taken care of, even at the expense of her own personal constraints. She had a wisdom she shared whenever you needed guidance.
She loved the sun and ocean, along with treasures you find along the beach. Shells and stones were collected all along her travels.
She had a passion for letter writing and always included cute stickers with every letter or card.
Though she hated spinach, she loved Popeye! You can't walk through her home without seeing him in every corner.
She had a quick wit and sense of humor; especially with nephew Jay. He brought the naughty side out of her.  Any innocent topic with him could turn into an R-rated retort. Always surprising us and making us laugh.
Peggy and Claire shared a home and many adventures during their life together.  They went on many trips; from local bus trips to Ireland, Paris, and many more.  They enjoyed eating out frequently or just going for a nice drive.  They both shared a passion for flea marketing. They did this for years, packing up an older model Cadillac to the brim with toys, books and collectibles. Peggy was a tough cookie, and did not haggle often. Never afraid to tell someone to move along if they didn't like a price.
There is a huge gap in our lives without her and she'll be missed terribly. But, there will never be a day she is forgotten.
In lieu of donations or gifts, in honor of Peggy, tell someone you love them and give them a hug. Tomorrow isn't promised, but today is a blessing.
