Maria Simon (nee Daniel) of Delran, NJ, passed away on January 12, 2022 at age 68.

Born on September 8, 1953, Maria was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Palmyra. After graduating from Palmyra High School in 1971, Maria spent many years working in the Sears office in Pennsauken. It was there that she met her husband, Louis Simon, in 1973. The two were married in 1980. Maria and Lou lived in Willingboro for over 30 years before moving to Delran in 2016.

Maria enjoyed baking, reading, attending her grandchildren's games and concerts, and watching the Phillies. She loved attending garden tours and flower shows, and kept her own garden for many years. She enjoyed cooking with the tomatoes, peppers, and herbs she grew in the backyard. Maria and Lou loved to travel and attend events with their Harley Davidson group. Her favorite event of the year was always the Abate Toy Run in Philadelphia. Even after they could no longer ride in the parade, she continued to donate toys to the cause. A devoted Bruce Springsteen fan, some of her favorite memories were of seeing the Boss in concert with her husband, and later with her children.

Maria is survived by her two children, Stevenson and Sabrina; her grandchildren AJ, Zachary, and Dylan; and her brother, Conrad Daniel.

Services for Maria will be private. Her remains will be left in Wildwood with those of her husband, at a later date.
