Obituary

Marjorie W. Fiorilla of Cinnaminson passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 13 th , she was 89.

Marjorie (Marj) was born on February 6, 1933 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Thomas (Wilbur) and Margaret ("the Duchess") Williams.

She loved classical music and studied piano in Spartanburg SC at Converse College ("the Julliard of the South") but decided to complete her education at the University of Florida where she was one of very few women to study engineering. She worked as an engineer in the construction industry. Marj was also a train enthusiast, her grandfather having formed the New York New Haven and Hartford Railroad in Connecticut.  Marj was a member of the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS) where she served on the Board of Directors and Advisory Council representing the North Florida Chapter. It was there where she met her husband John who still serves as General Counsel for NRHS.  Marj was also a prolific gardener growing in doors African violets, orchids and other plants. Outside she had roses and other flowers and in season a vegetable garden. She could tell you the scientific names for all her plants.  At home she also fed many birds and animals in the yard including a family of wild turkeys which she loved. Marjorie enjoyed travelling all over the world with her husband, John, particularly on trains.  She was also a member of the Riverton Porch Club.

Marjorie is survived by her loving husband John, children, the late Lynne Slaughter and Lynn's late husband Glenn Slaughter, Lee Cameron (Debbie) of Austin, TX, Les Cameron (Karen) of Tomball, TX, Lou Porch and Bob Porch of Interlachen, FL, grandchildren, the late Jaime Slaughter, John (Milinda) Slaughter, Lillie (Nick) Chauvin, Sarah Kate (Preston) Williams, Gwendolyn Slaughter, Kristin (Seth) McDonald, Lindsey Cameron and Cameron (Jessica) Porch. Marj also had seven great grandchildren including Callahan and Lyla Chauvin, Austin Slaughter, Bailee and Uriah Porch and Porter and Reese Williams.

A viewing for Marjorie will be held on Saturday, December 3 rd from 9:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a funeral service at 12:00pm, all at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ 08077.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ, A luncheon will follow at the Sweetwater Restaurant at 10 Route 130 N in Cinnaminson.
