Melanie S.
Mcgarvey
Jan 28, 1961 — Nov 11, 2022
Melanie Sue Lindstrom McGarvey, 61, of Delran, NJ, passed away suddenly on November 11, 2022. Melanie will be desperately missed by all those that she's left behind. Our hearts are broken by this unexpected loss. She was one of a kind. To be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
Melanie is survived by Kevin McGarvey, her beloved husband of 34 years. She was an amazing mother and role model to Casey McGarvey and Conor McGarvey and a caring stepmother to Allison McGarvey; she was the beloved grandmother of Shane Wyatt. Melanie also leaves behind her mother Judith Lindstrom, her sister Lori Knickerbocker (Bryan) and brother Dean Lindstrom (Lisa), her mother-in-law Jeannine McGarvey, in-laws John (Georgina) McGarvey, Patricia (Mike) Evans, Blaise McGarvey, Brian (Franny) McGarvey, Bruce (Marlene) McGarvey and Terry (Sandy) McGarvey, her Aunt Denise Lannon (Kevin), as well as many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
Melanie was born January 28, 1961, in Maple Shade, NJ, to Judith and the late Robert Lindstrom and graduated from Maple Shade High School in 1979. Melanie enjoyed a long career as a talented hair stylist in several South Jersey salons, and as the co-owner/operator of Matthew John Salon in Cinnaminson for many years.
Melanie had an amazing sense of humor and infectious laugh. Her wit was razor sharp and she made everyone laugh with her quips and comebacks. She was kind, generous and compassionate. She loved her entire family, and worried about them, rooted for them, protected them, and always kept on loving them. Her special time every summer was the family's trip to Frye Island, Maine, where she could relax at the lake and enjoy gorgeous sunsets while listening to Bruce Springsteen. She was a true Jersey Girl at heart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Melanie's visitation on Friday, November 18, 2022, 9AM to 11:30AM, at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ 08077, where her Life Celebration will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sharing Network Foundation at www.sharingnetworkfoundation.org/ since Melanie was an organ donor.
