Myradean Alcott Ransome, Age 91, of Cinnaminson, NJ passed peacefully at her home on July 28, 2024.
Myradean was born in Newport News, VA to the late Myra and George Alcott. Early in her childhood her family move to Camden then to Palmyra. She resided most of her life in the Palmyra, Riverton and Cinnaminson area and also lived in Pine Valley, NJ and Spring Island, SC.
Myradean was a longtime member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Riverton and had been a volunteer at the Riverton Free Library. She was involved in her children's activities and volunteered with the PTA. Myradean was a member of Porch Club, Riverton. Myradean enjoyed home decorating, bird watching, wildlife and flower arranging. She had a deep love for dogs, having many beloved dog companions throughout her life. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Myra (nee Hathaway) and George Alcott, Myradean was predeceased by her husband Ernie Ransome, and first husband, Ted Rapp. She is survived by her loving children, Terry Rapp and his wife Mary of Cinnaminson, and Ellen Thomas and her husband Gordon of Cinnaminson, as well as by her grandchildren, Shara Cehak and her husband Alex, Devon Rau and her husband Dan, Erika Roess and her husband Paul, and Gena Dolginko and her husband Alex, along with her great grandchildren, Leo and Eli Cehak, Jack and Jonah Rau, and Ewan and Penn Dolginko. She is also survived by her sisters, Sally Dinn, Grace Carr-Wilson, and Georgie Ackers, as well as her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, August 3, 2024 beginning promptly at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Presbyterian Church, 4th Street and Lippincott Avenue, Riverton, NJ. Burial will be held privately prior to the service.
