Nancy Brad Thomas, age 72, having survived COVID in 2020 passed away of complications due to dementia on 1/31/2022 while residing at Care One Harmony Village at Moorestown.
A 40 year resident of Cinnaminson, Nancy most recently lived in Delran. She was raised in Palmyra and graduated from Palmyra High School in 1968. She worked for MacMillan Publishing for several years before becoming a Clerical Specialist for PSE&G at their Moorestown, NJ location for 8 years. She was a volunteer aide in the Cinnaminson School System for over 20 years. She taught Sunday school at Epworth United Methodist Church for several years. She was a Girl Scout Leader, Cookie Mom, and Triboro Area Cookie Chair. She was an assistant to the coaches for the Cinnaminson PAL Girls Softball League for 8 eight years. She was a dedicated Phillies fan having held a partial season ticket plan for 41 years. She took many exercise classes over the years, most recently at the Mt Laurel 'Y". She was an avid bowler participating in the PSE&G league for over 25 years. She loved to walk and particularly enjoyed walking the beach at Wildwood Crest and looking for deer while walking the trails at Palmyra Cove Nature Park. She was a cookie baker having at one time baked over 55 dozen Christmas cookies. She also made numerous baby afghans for any and all family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her husband of over 40 years; John Thomas of Delran; daughter: Christine (Thomas) Wade: son-in-law: Casey Wade; granddaughter: Caitlin Wade; and grandson: Colten Wade of Dublin, OH, brother and sister-in-law James and Mara Brad of Tampa, FL: brother and sister-in-law Gary and Julie Brad of Denver, NC: and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lou and Dorothy (Matthews) Brad of Palmyra and brother: Richard Brad of Bensalem, PA.
We are grateful for the caregivers at Harmony Village at Care One in Moorestown and to the Ascend Hospice team particularly Chaplain Joe. We also would like to thank the caring staff of Home to Stay in Cherry Hill particularly Marie P who has been one of Nancy's principal aides since the beginning.
Friends may call Thursday, Feb 3rd, from 7 - 9 PM and Friday Feb. 4 th from 10-11 AM both at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ. Services will be private at the gravesite. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
