Naomi L.
Horn
Apr 28, 1926 — Feb 25, 2026
Naomi L Horn (nee Lowstetter) 99, passed away peacefully at her home on February 25, 2026 just two months shy of her 100th birthday. Naomi survived her husband Walter Horn Jr, who passed away in 2013. Naomi was the daughter of the late Adrienne and Harry Lowstetter. Her siblings were Franklin, Doris Jean and Peggy. Naomi was born in Swissvale, PA, and graduated from Donora High School in Donora, PA where she played in the marching band.
While in college at Duquesne University, Naomi studied music while also playing in the marching band and learning every instrument but she always favored the piano. Naomi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public School Music in 1948. She began teaching music in the Donora public school system shortly after. Her and Walter married in 1949 when he returned from serving in the Navy during World War II. Naomi and Walter moved to Cinnaminson, NJ in 1960 and Naomi started teaching music at the Riverton Public School. Naomi retired from Riverton in 1992, after 32 years, having been awarded Teacher of the Year one time. During those years, she also taught many local children the piano out of her home.
Her love of music was shared in many ways and places. Naomi led the bell choir during the holidays at her previous church, she played piano for The Porch Club of Riverton up until very recently and could be found playing the piano at her current church Asbury United Methodist. Naomi was also a 70-year member of the Eastern Star.
Naomi will be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, a few great-great nieces and nephews, and her companion and caretaker for several years, Andrea Esposito.
Family and Friends are invited to the viewing Thursday, March 5th from 10-11am at Asbury United Methodist Church, Andover Road, Cinnaminson. A Service will immediately follow the viewing and then Burial in Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
