Obituary

Nicholas J. Romagnoli, age 97, of Fort Pierce, FL and formerly of Palmyra, NJ, passed on January 7, 2023.

Nick was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA to the late Margaret (nee Maranucci) and Louis Romagnoli. He proudly served his Country during World War II with the United States Marine Corps, stationed in the South Pacific. Following the Service, he met and married his beloved wife of 48 years, Helen Romagnoli (nee Durkin) and settled in Palmyra, NJ to raise their family. Nick went on to work for RCA as a Mechanical Draftsman in both Camden and Moorestown where he was involved in the AEGIS program and retired after 35-years.

Nick was as longtime parishioner of Scared Hearth Church, Riverton, NJ and was a 4 th Degree Knight with the St. Joseph's Council of The Knights of Columbus, Palmyra. Following his retirement, he moved to Fort Pierce, Florida where he was actively involved with the local Knights of Columbus Council, the American Legion, the Loyal Order of Elks and the Loyal Order of Moose. Nick was proud of his Military Service and was active with several Veterans organization, including participating in the Honor Flight Program that was led by Senator Bob Dole, where Nick and fellow Veterans flew to Washington, D.C. to visit the WWII Memorial and other military memorials in honor of their service.

Nicholas was predeceased by his beloved wife, Helen Romagnoli (nee Durkin) in 1998 after 48-years of marriage; he was also predeceased by their daughter, Christine Roessner and her husband Craig, both of New Mexico. He is survived by his dear son, Michael Romagnoli and daughter-in-law, Kristine, of Palmyra, along with his longtime companion of 15-years, Dorothy Carroll of Fort Pierce, FL. Nick is also survived by his brothers, Rocco Romagnoli and Louis Romagnoli, along with his grandchildren, Erik, Roxanne, Alexander Roessner as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM followed by his Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 19, 2023 all at Sacred Heart Church, 4 th Street & Linden Avenue, Riverton, NJ 08077. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. Arrangements by the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St., Riverton, NJ (856-829-2700).
