Patricia A. MacCord (nee Riley), age 83, of Palmyra, NJ passed peacefully on December 30, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia, Patricia was a lifelong resident of Palmyra and Riverton only leaving the area with her husband, Woody MacCord, and family for his various work assignments. Over a period of time they lived in multiple states and various locations, 19 altogether, before returning to Palmyra many years ago.

Pat attended Sacred Heart School, Riverton and was a 1955 graduate of Palmyra High School. She was a longtime active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Riverton where she taught Bible Study, helped with the Youth Ministry and was active with Pre-Marriage Counseling and the Marriage Encounter program. She was also an active volunteer for many years at the Riverview Estates Nursing Center in Riverton.

Patricia was devoted to her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid reader and spent time every morning reading her bible and journaling her thoughts each day. Pat retained close relationships with her childhood and high school friends and they continued to meet as a group regularly. In addition to raising her family, Pat worked as an administrative professional for many years, retiring from US Steel Co.

When our entire family thinks of Pat one word comes to mind "Sweetheart", with emphasis on SWEET. It's not surprising that the same has been heard from classmates, club girls, co-workers, extended family and especially from our dear friends.

She will be missed, but never forgotten. God bless her.

Predeceased by her parents, William and Beatrice Riley, and her brother, Bill Riley, Patricia is survived by; her beloved husband of 62-years, Gilbert W. "Woody" MacCord; her loving children, Gilbert W. MacCord, III (Terry), Lori Kaluhiokalani-MacCord, Linda Zarrilli (Bill), Lisa Battershall (Jeff) and Dawn Spencer; her dear grandchildren, Leiloni, Justin, Zachary, Rachel, Samantha, Hanna, Robyn, Sydney and John; her great-grandchildren, Jayce, Cameron and Xander; and by her sister, Sheila Griffin. She is also survived by a large extended family including cousins, nieces, nephews and their families along with many close friends.

A memorial mass at Sacred Heart Church, Riverton will be scheduled in the future when all can gather safely. The date and time will be posted when scheduled.
