Richard D. Cameron, Age 68, of Riverside, NJ passed peacefully surrounded by his family on July 11, 2023.

Richard was born in Philadelphia to the late Eleanor M. (nee Wagner) and Robert W. Cameron, Sr. His family moved to Delran when Richard was a child and he graduated from Holy Cross High School, Class of 1972. He remained a lifelong resident of Riverside, NJ and was a member of Resurrection Parish, Church of the Holy Name, Delran.

Following high school, Richard proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a skilled swimmer having developed a love for the water growing up spending summers in Wildwood Crest, NJ. He enjoyed boating and liked his "toys", including his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, Houseboat, and his RV, although he wasn't much of a camper.

Richard was known for his outgoing, friendly nature and easy way of chatting with everyone, with many calling him "The Mayor" because he always seemed to know someone wherever he went. Richard especially enjoyed supporting his children in their younger years for their school and sports activities. Richard loved his four grandsons dearly, whom he affectionately called "Pop's Big Boys." He enjoyed spending time with them and listening to all their accomplishments, especially those in baseball.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 46-years, Sandra G. Cameron (nee Scimeca); his loving children, Richard "Rick" D. Cameron and his wife, Christi, of Marlton, NJ, and Ashley Cameron and her husband Alexander Quiñones, of Conshohocken, PA; and by his dear grandsons, RJ and Christopher Cameron & AJ and Adriel Quiñones. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert (Marjorie) Cameron, Rosemarie (Glenn) Topping, and Kevin Cameron, all of Florida, and by his wife's siblings, Anita (Jack) Levitt and George (Terri) Scimeca, as well as by nieces, nephews and their families. Richard will be missed greatly by his dog, Annie.

A visitation for Richard will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Resurrection Parish, Church of the Holy Name worship site, 260 Conrow Road, Delran, NJ 08075. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, Riverside will be held at a later date.
